Our Creative Advisor Antonio Fargas is in LA this week shooting another episode of Everybody Hates Chris. This episode is guest starring the beautiful Robin Givins. Mr. Fargas plays Mr. Harris (a.k.a. "Doc"), the local grocery store owner. The show was inspired by Chris Rock's life as a kid. Motivated by his childhood experiences, Emmy Award-winner/actor/comedian Chris Rock narrates and executive produces this very hilarious and touching story of a teenager growing up as the oldest of three children in Brooklyn, NY, in 1982. Another film that shot some scenes here in Las Vegas is Iron Man with an estimated budget of 186 million. Tony Stark is a billionaire industrialist and genius inventor who is kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon. Instead, using his intelligence and ingenuity, Tony builds a high-tech suit of armor and escapes captivity. When he uncovers a nefarious plot with global implications, he dons his powerful armor and vows to protect the world as Iron Man. | April 28, 2008 - Baby Mama Delivers Box Office Win |

In the last weekend before the summer movie season starts, Universal Pictures' Baby Mama opened in first place with an estimated $18.3 million from 2,543 theaters. Averaging $7,184 per theater, the Tina Fey and Amy Poehler comedy was made for about $30 million. New Line's Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay, starring John Cho, Kal Penn, Rob Corddry, Roger Bart and Neil Patrick Harris, pulled in $14.6 million from 2,510 theaters, an average of $5,804. The comedy sequel carried a budget of just $12 million. Last week's champ, Lionsgate's The Forbidden Kingdom, added $11.2 million for a total of $38.3 million. Landing in third, the film features the first team-up of Jackie Chan and Jet Li on the big screen. Universal's Forgetting Sarah Marshall also dropped two spots to fourth with $11 million. The comedy, budgeted at $30 million, has earned $35.1 million in two weeks. Fox Walden fantasy-adventure Nim's Island remained in fifth place, taking in another $4.5 million and pushing its four-week total to $38.9 million, compared to its budget of $37 million. Other newcomer, 20th Century Fox's Deception debuted in the 10th spot with only $2.23 million from 2,001 theaters, an average of just $1,111. The thriller stars Hugh Jackman, Ewan McGregor and Michelle Williams. Meanwhile, Helen Hunt's new romantic dramedy Then She Found Me opened in 9 theaters and made $74,400. A Jet Li / Jackie Chan team-up is what people wanted, and that’s what they got this weekend, as The Forbidden Kingdom fought its way to a $20 million opening weekend. Forgetting Sarah Marshall wasn’t far behind at #2, with $17.3 million. Al Pacino and 88 Minutes didn’t fare quite so well, earning just $6.8 mil, meanwhile Prom Night continued to do well in its second weekend, and Nim’s Island rounded out the Top 5. The $58 million picture is directed and produced by George Clooney. Starring are Oscar winners George Clooney and Renee Zellweger as they match wits in Leatherheads, a quick-witted romantic comedy set against the backdrop of America's nascent pro-football league in 1925.
